Join us on Saturday for a pow wow with grand entry at 1:00PM & 5:30PM. You may want to bring folding chairs as the bleachers fill up fast. Come see hand crafted items including American Indian Art , eat and enjoy Indian tacos and get to know a little about what makes Pipestone so Famous.
We look forward to seeing you there. Please support us by joining the festivities, buying an Indian taco or take home one of the artists creations.
We have booth spaces available for artists set up for the pow wow on Saturday or set up Wednesday and stay through Saturday for the same price email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Keepers members and Native American Artist get discounted booth space if paid by July 1st 2011
Native Foods Cook Off
Everyone welcome to join us for our second annual cook off. Prepare and bring your favorite recipe which features one or more native American Indian foods as the main ingredients, bring a copy or email a copy of your recipe, and pay a 10.00 entrance fee. Examples of Native foods include wild game, buffalo, wild rice, corn, beans, squash, and local fish to name a few.
If your not a cook you can be one of our many tasters. You will try all the food items and then vote on your favorite by dropping a dollar or two into that items jar and receive another serving. The Jar with the most cash wins prize also will have prize judges choice and favorite traditional recipe.
